Enteroscopy is an incision less procedure used to examine the small intestine using a flexible tube. During an Upper endoscopy, your doctor will be able to see only up to the duodenum. Any disorders or bleeding beyond the duodenum can be seen during the enteroscopy. During this procedure, the doctor will be able to treat any visible bleeding, take a biopsy, remove small polyps and enlarge narrow areas or strictures in the upper or lower GI tract if indicated.
